Ten years ago, a Chinese outstanding designer Martin, a famous painter Mr. Ke Zhang and an art master Jianqiao Chen, together had an idea to design a kind of furniture which not only has occidental simplicity, but also expresses oriental connotation and elegance. Through the efforts of these three artists, Foshan Wooden Art Furniture Co., Ltd. was established.

The company's furniture design is based on the culture of "sea" and the history of "ship". Wooden Art products are made from reclaimed timbers of old ships, which were served during 1930s and 1940s. The ships were all made from Shorea (Also called Balau), ironwood and teak. The material is becoming rare and precious today. After undergoing hundreds of years of baptism by the wind and rain, the material has revealed a feature of mystery and charm. The natural beauty, pristine and speciality are shown in each piece of Wooden Art.

Like the wide sea, the three artists accept occidental simple styles with their open minds. Meanwhile, they never give up their oriental tastes for beautiful furniture. These two different original spirits have been engrafted perfectly, which enable the company to bring Wooden Art pieces with oriental temptation and occidental glamour.

We aim to promote a cultural life of pastoral nature and environmental protection. All materials allied are natural and eco-friendly during production process. We do not use any nails or foul glues to the furniture. Each Wooden Art piece is in 100% wood tenon and mortise structure, and 100% solid wood, no any composite board is applied.

It is also worth mentioning our feeling of social responsibilities. Against the backdrop of rapid climate change, decreasing energy resources and deforestation, we recycle precious resources by using wood from old ships. Every piece we sell saves a living tree from being used instead.
